A message from Chief Robert Henze

Welcome to DeForest:

The staff has taken an oath to serve, protect and continually strive to improve the Quality of Life.  We take a great pride ensuring that we are visible, approachable and compassionate.  Our mission statement supports our commitment to ensure Quality of Life through Quality of Services.

However, a safe and fun community cannot be maintained by the police themselves.  We need your support and help!  DeForest is a growing and changing community.  Every citizen needs to be responsible and accountable for their actions.  One needs  to constantly ask themselves, “Will my actions or inactions have a positive effect on the community”? 

DeForest is a great community!  The traffic and criminal challenges will keep the police department personnel busy.  My goal is to minimize and manage these challenges.  We need all citizens to take an ownership approach and buy into the fact that Everyone can make a difference.
